About
Three Cats Consulting
Almost everyone you have probably met in the IT industry has a company to do contract work. I wanted to make mine something more than that. I have always had a passion for leadership and have been fortunate to be surrounded by great people who are passionate about what they do too. I want Three Cats Consulting to be something of a cohort–a group of separate people with a shared set of values and dedication to their principles.
The kind of people who:
…take the work seriously but not the job.
…know that you don’t have to have a passion to do the work beyond the compensation whilst also understanding that without bringing value there is probably no point to the work. To put that another way you don’t have to work for either love or money, but without some value to the work it may be pointless.
…will learn something new, be it a framework, language, or other technique because it is the appropriate way to do something.
..who’s curiosity is bigger than their ego.
…are pragmatic about cutting corners. Sometimes the cost is worth it later, sometimes it isn’t. In either case it’s OK to admit that it happens and OK to put in extra effort to avoid it when appropriate.
…understand that their principles are only valuable if they are followed and that their value might take a while to uncover or even define.
If these sound like qualities that you have or the kind of people you’d like to work with please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
I have had a varied career (so far) from creating workflows for the print industry, premedia industry, and later ecommerce photography as well as working in martech. I have built systems that delivered solutions for brands such as the New York Times Magazine, J Crew, Ann Inc, Sony BMG, Victoria’s Secret, ALDO, Nike, David Yurman, and many others.
Perhaps you have an idea and don’t know where or even how to start. Does it all seem OK in your head until you try and realize it? We can help with that, so please get in touch.
** Why Three Cats–the name not the idea–I have had cats most of my life and I find that owning, or being owned, by three is the ideal amount. FYI: I currently have four.
